"NEVER LOSE ANOTHER PEDIATRIC GONADAL SHIELD"

New York, N.Y. 10027
There are two likely reasons for children to be unnecessarily exposed to x-ray. One is when
the tiny pediatric gonadal shields slip off the child during the exposure. Another is that the
current types of gonadal shields made are so easily lost that they can't practically be replaced
at the rate at which they are loss.  The Gonapron
is a larger garment that can't be easily
dropped without notice, tangled in bed sheets and mistakenly trashed by the linen department
or nurses. It is an official half apron and a pediatric / adult gonadal shield all in one.
The Gonapron when used as a gonadal shield has a 10" X 12" surface that keeps it
steadily in place during an x-ray. This is an essential patented feature. Its' Lead protective
shielding is of .5mm lead equivalent.

The Gonapron
.

The Gonapron
will revolutionize how radiation
safety shielding is provided for adult and
pediatric patient for years to come. This practical
shielding tool was developed to improve o
n the
common failures of t
he gonadal shielding
apparatuses lead apron manufacturers make
today.  Firstly, we have reduced  the amount of
material traditionally used by others in the
manufacturing process of similar garments. More
lead material length and width does not necessarily
translate to more protection. It does however
translate to more monetary waste and more energy
to harvest the lead contents of that material.
Secondly we have reduced the monetary and
material waste incurred when a lead shield is
habitually lost over and over again. Sure those tiny
$50.00 bl
ue oval gonadal shields seem ideal for
shielding pediatric patients but where do you find
one when you need one?   Moreover,  it’s a  Federal
mandate that you assign an identifying index
number or name to the item and periodically
inspect the integrity of that shielding device by x-
raying it and ensuring that there are no tears or
pinholes seen on the inside material.   In addition,
the law requires that your periodic inspection data
be logged and documented for future inspections.
The question is, “How do you test what you can’t
find?”or worst yet “ how will you shield the new
born baby you are about to x-ray?.

Relax, you are about to be exposed to a new and
true reality for shielding and technology to assist
you in the monitoring of as many aprons and
Gonapron
you may have at any given time. You
will be glad that you saw this web page or heard
